20, 2011, Vin (RAZN Vin de Garde JH) placed 3rd (of 14) in his
first horseback stake in Open Derby at the
Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club field trial. Mick rode his
horse "Spirit" in his first trial, too. Even Spirit running
loose after Mick's first flush didn't keep Vin from forging on
and getting lost for over 3 minutes, only to be found
standing and finally coming in with the bird. Mick was ecstatic
to come behind such strong competition with a GSP winning and the
same EP in second.
March 19,
2011, Vin (RAZN Vin de Garde JH) placed 2nd (of 12) in Amateur
Walking Derby at the Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club field trial.
This was Vin's and his owner, trainer, handler Mick Cheshire's
first field trial! Very few vizslas were entered and the grounds
were big and wide. Vin came in behind an English Pointer.

On
October 9-10, the Vizsla Club of Colorado held their first Hunt
Test in conjunction with the Mile High Weimaraner Club at the
Colorado Gun Dog Club in Strasburg, Colorado. Mick Cheshire and
RAZN Vin de Garde (JH) "Vin" (6 months, 2 days) made full
use of this "double – double" weekend by earning all four legs
toward his Junior Hunter title. At 6 months and 2 days, Vin may
just be the youngest Vizsla to receive a JH title, although this
is difficult to confirm as fact since AKC records aren’t kept on
ages.
